You must have a Form 8655, Reporting Agent Authorization, on file with the IRS, for the specific taxpayer, form, and tax period before requesting information on a client's account. We will provide authorization to use e-services to all Reporting Agent principals and responsible officials identified on the IRS e-file application. Designated employees must be delegated this authority by your company through the e-file application, once these e-services become available to Reporting Agents. |
